How Does A Break Barrel Work

RANGE 12/17/2009 02/10/1912 VALLADOLID

who has had the luck of ever closer to the old schools of Arrabal de Portillo, and has been enjoying some of the concerts that take place within its walls has long been well understood so that there is something special. And if you think about it, you realize The ingredients for this recipe goes well are evident, although not as easy to get. To begin, a group of seven people who insist on organizing a series of concerts and try (and fail) to maintain a schedule that runs from January to March, year after year since 1999. As they say, with few resources but much illusion, which is what it takes to make things come to fruition.
To follow, a place with a unique flavor and charm, who was about to disappear and they got back to your project, and it also keeps the stove that gives name to this beautiful adventure, which of course turns in each concert. We've said it before what we like scenarios that keep you near from the people and facilitate the close and magical. So are the classrooms.
And third, a loyal and dedicated, without which all this would be impossible to perform, because they are the object of it. And because there is no public "show" it is worth.
With all that together, it's easy for musicians we are pleased to participate in the concerts of the stove. But once we pass. Who are there day after day keeping the story and adding fuel to the range they are.
The trip was like a "deja vu". Valladolid destination, the same highway in the past December trip, snowed again, and again making a fool with the snow (some more than others)

The photos are not very good but the time it deserved, or not?

and eating not only in the same restaurant, but at the same table and everyone in the same place. And I would say that in some cases eating the same, but just as you would think I'm exaggerating a bit. Everyone who thinks that seems ...

The landscape and light were precious ...

Once there we were with Oscar and went to look for pottery he and his brother have in Arrabal de Portillo, very close to the schools where they do concerts. Oscar joined us up, Portillo, the house where we would spend the night. We take coffee with him, chatted a while, and went to rest a little until it was time to soundcheck.
Although we were very little time in Portillo, we found some things we especially liked. One, the great house that allowed us to use. "The House of Enhorcadora", recently restored, and how ... Take a look here to see it, is worth it, and stay with your address if ever. The pity is that we had very little time to enjoy it.
El Castillo. We asked if we could visit, and told us it was still possible the next morning, but had to leave early and was complicated, so the visit was postponed for the next time we go out there. We would have liked, had a great pint.

"The vestry." It's a bar, a pub and restaurant, all accommodated in an old church, as we were told, still belongs to the archdiocese. We felt amazing. The truth is that it still preserves elements of the church, and when mixed with the decor, the result is very attractive.

Going into the vestry.

We ran the name of this candy. And it's funny. Today making the purchase in the supermarket I usually go, I've found on the shelves of sweets Portillo some muffins, confectionery Humility.

Julian low and down the stairs armed with the camera. We will prove sound.

After little while "off" and went to meet Oscar and headed for school. "Pistol" of Divertimento Folk was our sound technician, and by half past nine was all tested and ready.

In this picture you can see the mythical stove, and burned to heat the room.

At ten o'clock, as scheduled, after Peter we submit, we started the concert. And what looked to be gone. From the first time an incredible atmosphere, I think both we and the audience were delighted ...

at every concert is an intermission, and then people take a typical pasta from there along with a wine, both donated by some merchants in town. It was a nice time in which we talk to everyone who came to ask something about our music and our instruments, as there are people in our lives see them close for the first time. In this case, Oscar told us that until that day, or a harp or a nyckelharpa had stepped the school setting. Quite an honor ...

With the cream in hand, we will greet Carmen. Our friend James could not come, but she would not want to lose and came to see us. We are happy to see her.

Chatting with people and taking the glass of wine with pasta.

Enjoying
During dinner we were told that the public at concerts is dealt a coupon so they can vote from 0 to 5, what they think of the performance of each day. Most valued group was invited back the following year.

What
yes he held until the time was the record album sales. For now, the "Hard Clay" is ours. See if you can keep ...
Photo pity that we did later. We ended the evening with laughter and dancing. Quite a show ... And a thousand, to sleep in "The House of Enhorcadora."
few hours of sleep (rather few), and after leaving shaking the freshly cooked omelette of the sacristy, put the van Mucientes direction. But this already belongs to a different post.
Thanks for the welcome, for your kindness, and a kiss for all the people of the stove. To continue burning wood.

Can U Shoot Up Lorcet

other times I had played around nearby, in Burgos, Palencia and Zamora, but this was our first visit to Valladolid. It was in these days of December, in which half the country walked snowy, so we had a pretty good landscape to a few kilometers before arriving. The snow plows had done their work and the highway was clean, but off road it was all a seamless white robe that made us enjoy the journey in a special way. Both, therefore, that the child still within us made us stop at a rest area to pull a bolazos and make some laughs.

After another stop for lunch near from Burgos, arrived punctually at five in the afternoon at the door of the auditorium of the Faculty of Law of Valladolid, where we expected Jaime friend Lafuente ( Tradere ), el "culpable" de que estuviéramos allí.

At the door of The Long Goodbye, everyone knows as the cafeteria. To our right Jaime Lafuente, and our Oscar and Paul left, sound technicians.

Thanks to the photos we took Jaime you can give notice that the scene of that day was undoubtedly the most solemn place where we never touched. Giving a desire to be a cap and gown and sing "Gaudeamus Igitur "....

A lack of cap, Miguel Angel was a cap.

The nice thing is that evening concerts at 10 pm you're all done and settled, so that after Jaime and Carmen will accompany us to the hotel to leave bags of rigor, we took a wine with them a great site that then we serve as a no less great portions, accompanied by a good Ribera del Duero, which is what comes in the area. Another memorable dinner for our curriculum, after which a drink in a tavern Irish guy that both of these have proliferated lately. But it was night many Christmas dinners, and the atmosphere and the music we were very supportive, so we decided to return to the cafeteria, where fortunately the thing improved considerably. We met Carmen and her friend (sorry do not remember his name), who had been at the concert and greeted us. Carmen is a Brazilian Valladolid fell one day, liked it and stayed. And talking, talking, was that we had a common name out there, what a small world ... A friend of mine has spoken often of a theory that argues that any two people in this world can be linked simply with 4 or 5 intermediate links. Curious ...
The truth is that we met half bar, and together, Marta, a very fun girl we found a report in the daily newspaper that brought a touch of humor at the end of the night. Among the peculiar details of history and the particular wording of the same by the journalist, it was almost impossible to read without laughing. And if not, take a look here
and see ...
So the snow, the friendliness of our hosts (thanks and a kiss, Jaime and Carmen), the concert enjoyable and fun night, we must recognize that was a great day. By the way, I know that always seems to say and sounds a bit like a cliché, but in addition to the solemn scene was tremendous public response. Enthusiasm we have not seen rarely, while between songs even shouted at us a compliment, awesome, really do not know if we deserve so much. Then, Carmen told us that sometimes the public there is a tad beyond in their work, but the truth is that he is playing is very nice. A thousand thanks.
And as we did so well and we liked it so much, we return immediately. Next week we day 12 in the stove Concerts
in Arrabal de Portillo, and the next day, February 13, in Mucientes in the Museum Classroom
I'll tell you .

Migrating Pokemon From Firered To Soul Silver

second consecutive year we have the pleasure of making several visits to Navarre in the fall. This time there were three concerts: Cordovilla, Ezcároz and Mañeru. And without doubt, the first being the most special of all three. Well, three and in fact almost everyone who 've ever done. We had the pleasure of playing at the Center for Disability Infanta Elena, and I assure you that we have rarely had an audience so enthusiastic and so grateful. It's amazing how people that live attached to a wheelchair and placed in a center that distills the joy and vitality. I think at first we felt a bit overwhelmed, thinking that surely we were what drew them to your routine for a short space of time, with the responsibility that made us feel. But once the applause and laughter made us see that they liked what they were hearing and seeing, and it was all more relaxed. The women you see in the first row in the photo ended the concert dancing walking around with his chair and crisscrossing each other. That minutes after one of them said: "Too bad we can not dance ..." Who said it? The first right is Carmen, and it was his birthday. Then at night we would find it by celebrating Pamplona. And whoever is left lying in his chair wheeled stretcher is Joaquin (aka Yokin) and spends all his time telling jokes. It has a mood and we would like ... By the way, he swore that if we played the lottery we were all to the Caribbean, but I'm afraid we've run out of travel. Not a penny ...

We went there with the promise that we would. And with the assurance they gave us us double what we offered them to them. An unforgettable life lesson. Thanks and a big kiss to all of you from here.

From there we went to Pamplona to sleep. But before you enjoy a splendid dinner at Casa Otano, Close to the Plaza del Castillo, and a session of music from the 70 in one of the bars in the city, with dancing included. "And they gave us the ten and eleven ....." A really fun night.

Chema Miguel Angel and Carmen, celebrating his birthday.

The next day, November 14, went to the north, Ezcároz. Enjoy the scenery, a nice meal at the restaurant in town, and after the concert. And after a while to relax and talk with people there and now back home.

And the third and last was in Mañeru, a beautiful village near from Puente La Reina. We played in an old church renovated and refurbished as a social center.

could not resist the temptation to shoot the door that was next to the concert site.

How won the world if some make the case and shut up many times ...

The concert, family, and with the complicity which gives inches but being very comfortable. Between that and the beauty of the site, was a rather pleasant time.

And finally it fall to land our foray Navarre, dinner at a restaurant in Puente La Reina that we recommend you visit if you meet there, the Conrad. Besides good food, have Mahou. For us, we declare absolute devotion to the Mahou and hardly found in Zaragoza, is a pleasure to enjoy, so nothing better than a toast to celebrate once again we made good friends with the Navarre. Hopefully next fall again.
